The staff were courteous and attentive, and the buffet breakfast had a wide choice of tasty dishes. The quality was excellent, especially by local Romanian standards. I first stayed here a while ago and was happy to return in 2025. The hotel has a special charm, with an atmosphere that brings the elegance of the 1920s to mind. It feels full of class and old-fashioned hospitality, which is hard to find these days. It’s also ideally placed, about a five-minute walk from the beach. Highly recommended.

My overseas flight was delayed by more than 24 hours, and the staff were very accommodating and held my reservation. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Hotel Carol. The breakfast is second to none, and it’s clear they’ve taken great care of the older hotel, with high-end finishes throughout.

In the city center, the CAROL hotel feels like a classy little jewel, with a warm and authentic atmosphere. The reception staff were especially polite and always greeted us with a big smile. Breakfast was perfect, with plenty of variety and generous portions. I’d recommend it to anyone without hesitation.

I had a very pleasant 3-day stay at Hotel Carol. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was spacious and very clean. Breakfast was included, with lots of variety, and it was very good. The hotel is by the seaside near the beach, and close to both the historic center and the new city center.

It’s an easy place to stay for a few days or a holiday. The hotel feels warm and welcoming, and you can walk to the main sights, the city centre and the beach. It’s in a central area but still quiet, with a bus stop almost right outside.
