Continental Forum Constanta

I’ve stayed here three times, most recently for almost a month on a longer staycation. The stay was pleasant, clean, and fair for the price. Staff were nice, the receptionists helpful, and the cleaning service was good. Food was good too, with a solid range of classic continental breakfast choices, and the last order is at 9.30 pm. Cocktails were good, and there’s free WiFi. You can use the sauna and gym for free on Tue,ThuSat with a reservation beforehand. If you’re lucky, Mr.Yorgos will show you the secret under the hotel.

I stayed for a day and a half and found the reception welcoming and helpful. The hotel is right by the city beach, with free beach towels and a discounted rate for beach beds. There’s a nice walkway by the shore nearby, along with good cafes for tourists. The bed was comfortable, the restaurant had lots of options and the food was tasty. Breakfast and the other dishes I tried were good, though vegetarians are mostly left with salads, sides like fries, or pizza. I was disappointed when I ordered crunchy polenta and got plain polenta instead, and the waiters said that was all they could offer. My room was fine, but it had beds for four even though I was alone, and removing the spare beds would have opened up more space. The beach view was from the side, not straight out the window. The coffee tray had only certain teas, no black tea, and I’d suggest adding milk or creamers. They could also include more amenities in the room instead of making guests request them. I’d recommend it to anyone visiting in summer.

The hotel has its own parking, but it’s always full in summer. There’s free parking on the small streets behind it. They also provide beach towels and discounts on sun loungers. The place is nice and clean, and the apartments are especially nice. Breakfast is okay, nothing fancy, but the quality isn’t bad. It’s next to Modern beach in Constanta, though coming back from the beach means climbing around 100 steps.

The sea view from our clean, spacious room was beautiful, and the food at the hotel restaurant was delicious and reasonably priced. The restaurant staff were very professional and knew their job. Everyone else was friendly and helpful too. Our only problem was the extra bed for our child. It was poor quality and gave them quite a bit of back pain after one night. We asked reception what could be done, but were told there wasn’t much they could do. They did provide an extra blanket.
