Casa Cojocaru

We stayed one night. It's not luxurious, but it's fine for sleeping. The rooms were clean and warm, though the beds squeaked and so did the floors.

Trying to be kind 😅, but the air in the room was hard to breathe, and the window is only about 100x20 cm. The bathroom drain stinks, the parquet creaks, and there were dead spiders beside and under the bed. The TV is barely bigger than my phone, the toilet moves around, and the walls are so thin you hear everything. At 1.90 m, I also found parts of the room uncomfortably low. It gets extremely hot in summer. This doesn't fit what I'd call a guesthouse, hotel, or motel.

The yard looks like a junkyard, soaked in oil and scattered with glass and construction debris. Inside, the place feels like a burnt-out construction trailer, apparently used mostly for short stays by construction workers. There was no breakfast, and the bathroom fixtures and shower doors didn't work, so nothing made the stay feel remotely acceptable. At €50 a night, the price is outrageous, though I suppose being the only nearby hotel that takes dogs may explain it. I can't think of a worse hotel stay anywhere in Europe.

The rooms were spotless, and I really enjoyed the visit. The famous Darius Barbu came to sing. I'd recommend it!
