Hotel Boutique 5 Continents

The only real downside for us was parking. They say there's parking, but the courtyard has just six spaces. When we arrived, one car was parked by the charging outlet and blocked three of them. That was so inconsiderate, so we had to park on the street and pay. We stayed one night in two rooms, both large and modern, with fancy furniture, very comfortable beds, and a sofa bed. The bathrooms had some nice toiletries. Breakfast had plenty of choice, the staff were friendly and professional, and the restaurant served good cocktails.

We arrived without a reservation and were welcomed, with special thanks to the administrator. The hotel is very nice and conveniently located, about a five-minute walk from the city center. There were several problems with the room, though. It was 17°C when we checked in because heating is only turned on if you ask. The heating went off overnight, so the room was cold again by morning. The hot water was below body temperature, the blankets were very thin, and the extra blanket came without a duvet cover. At €265 a night, these things should be properly taken care of.

The restaurant is exquisite, and the hotel has elegant rooms with good sleeping conditions. It was a very nice surprise in an impressive old building, within walking distance of the historical center.

We could park at the hotel, and the restaurant was comfortable, with a bar and tables both inside and outside. The service was more than good, while breakfast was just okay. The hotel is right in the heart of Craiova, with a beautiful exterior and a breathtaking interior. Our room had lovely antique-style decor, a very good bed, and stayed cool even though it was 37 degrees Celsius outside. A perfect stay!
