We were six people staying here for New Year’s Eve, with high expectations for a four-star hotel. The experience was extremely disappointing and nowhere near that standard. Dinner on December 31st was the worst part. We went to the restaurant at 8:15 p.m. before heading out to celebrate. There were only four tables, yet we waited 20 minutes for drinks while other tables were already being served. Our food finally arrived at 10:45 p.m., after two and a half hours. A group of singers came in at 9:30 p.m. and got drinks and food within five minutes while we were still waiting. The waitress didn’t speak a word of English, and the bar closed at 10:00 p.m., so we couldn’t order drinks even though we still hadn’t received our food. We were the last guests left. The rooms also weren’t clean when we arrived. The mirrors were dirty, and the carpets were stained and marked. Communication with staff was difficult for our whole stay. Most employees didn’t speak English apart from the receptionist, and many were impolite, which is unacceptable for a four-star hotel serving international guests. Breakfast was limited and poorly organized, with just one staff member there, who again didn’t speak English. Despite the four-star rating and the positive reviews we’d read, the reality was extremely disappointing and didn’t meet our expectations.

We were seated an hour before the group performing in the city center, yet they finished eating in 30 minutes while our party of nine waited 2.30 hours for dinner. The six people at the table beside us waited even longer. December 31st was a punch in the gut. I won't get into the details, and do I even need to mention breakfast?

The room was dirty from the carpet and sheets to the mirrors. Service from the hotel staff and waitresses was extremely arrogant and unprofessional, though the receptionists were an exception. At the restaurant, we waited two and a half hours for our food, and one dish was forgotten in the end. Simply disappointing. Calling this residence a four-star hotel is a shame, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

The rooms feel like three-star at best, and there's nowhere convenient to plug in a laptop. I had to unplug the TV and work around the cables behind it just to use that outlet. At 23.00 I asked for a beer and was told everything was closed, with no room service at all. A four-star hotel? That seems like a joke. Maybe stay if the rate is 50 Euros MAX per night, otherwise it feels like a total rip off.
