The food won me over, even though I’m not much of a fish eater, and the staff were kind and helpful. Andrei, Adi and Stefan deserve a shoutout. Everything was clean, from the rooms and shared spaces to the restaurant. All-inclusive packages are available, covering the private transfer, meals and different boat trips. Prices seemed comparable to many Bucharest restaurants, which surprised me given how hard it must be to supply the place. A couple of things could be improved, though neither spoiled my stay: the wooden paths felt a bit unsafe and need repairs, and the green carpet around the pool looks tacky. The soundproofing isn’t great, but it’s a rural house in the middle of nowhere. Other guests can affect your experience, depending on how much you let it bother you. I also don’t agree with complaints that the food lacks variety, and there are lots of cats, which I found very cute. I’d happily come back, despite the negative reviews that had made me nervous before arriving.

The boat trips around the resort were included, and our drivers showed us lovely routes through lakes and little rivers. They knew the birds well, too. The rooms were clean and really nice, with comfortable beds. We got the experience we were hoping for, and would choose this place again. The food was amazing, and the staff were so friendly. Thanks for such a relaxing stay.

The pool water was so green I wondered if there were fish in it, and there was no hot water in the shower at first. One nice employee eventually fixed that. Coming by private boat was a nightmare: docking at either the back or the front of the resort was difficult, and after I finally got the boat in, someone asked me to move it ten minutes later because suppliers needed access. The restaurant looked like it was from the 1990s, and the food was among the worst I’ve had in Romania. At Saturday breakfast they were out of mustard, and the only coffee was from an ancient automatic machine. The Booking.com photos seem like they may be from when the place first opened, years ago. We left a day before the time we’d paid for and nobody seemed to care. We moved to another resort five minutes away. Better to camp or stay home.

The juice was mostly Santal, with only about 10% fresh orange juice, and the food was really bad. The staff were unfriendly and unprofessional. They never checked whether we were happy with the stay, and just shrugged as if to say, “If you don’t like it, go somewhere else.” We were charged for the rooms shown on the website, but once we arrived, they said those rooms were fully booked and took us to a nearby motel with much worse conditions than what we’d paid for. We couldn’t use the pool there. Going to the main resort to use it felt strange, since we had no right to use the pool. I definitely wouldn’t recommend this place and won’t go back.
