The food service was slow, but that’s normal for Romania. Still, it was a great family stay. The rooms were beautiful, and breakfast was a good buffet. Out back there’s a nice pool, a playground, and pretty fruit trees with benches.

Just outside Brasov, this rustic place has nice amenities. After a day of travel, we could relax by the shallow outdoor pool, with a bar right next to it, and there’s also a playground for little kids.

The location is handy for sightseeing, but I can’t see how this hotel deserves five stars. The room and service felt three-star at best, and even that’s debatable. We came in August as two families for five nights. The rooms were tiny, and it was extremely hot upstairs with no air conditioning. We later learned that the lobby representative had taken an old fan from one of the rooms. It wasn’t helping anyway, but it certainly didn’t help guests that he took it because he was hot. Some days the room wasn’t cleaned and the towels weren’t changed. The service was unacceptable. When we told the front desk we had no towels, they said there was nothing they could do. The beds were very uncomfortable, the shower was clogged, and breakfast was very modest.

The pool was clean and a comfortable temperature, though small, with too few chairs. There’s also a nice playground on the grounds. I didn’t try the many other services the hotel offers. The room was nicely decorated and clean, but one window looks onto the inner courtyard parking, so anyone can see inside, along with the car noise and fumes. The bathroom window faces a back alley where the garbage is kept. Staff made a lot of noise using the bins from late at night until very early morning. The cooler in the room was so noisy I had to unplug it. The outdoor restaurant is small and can’t seat enough customers. The staff seemed undertrained and careless. If you miss breakfast, there’s no food alternative until 13:30-14:00. The food itself was tasty, with a nice choice of drinks. Last orders are at 21:00, though the restaurant stays open until 22:00. Even ordering five minutes after 21:00 wasn’t possible, although I’d tried to get a waitress’s attention ten minutes earlier. I was told I should have gone to the bar to order. There also aren’t enough parking spaces for the number of customers.
