The bedroom was fine, but the bathroom was in poor condition and we had no hot water. The staff member just shrugged and didn’t help.

We had the same experience as the previous reviewer. People, get out of here. It’s filthy and unfit to stay in. The furnishings are old and rusty, the bathroom’s dirty, and one room has office curtains with no blackout curtains. There were leftovers from earlier guests in the fridge, too. The owner showed us the rooms quickly and then left. He didn’t even say hello in the morning. Horrible!!!!

I never imagined I’d end up somewhere this dirty. There were five adults and two kids, aged 3 and 5, staying in two rooms. The rooms were filthy, the towels smelled completely musty, and ants and bugs were crawling around. When I lifted the bedsheet, underneath was another sheet stained with blood and covered in hair and dead bugs. The pillows and duvets also had a “clean” sheet over a dirty one. There was open food left in the fridge and used soap by the bathroom sink. We lasted an hour, then packed up and left in the middle of the night. I’ve attached photos and can share videos too, if anyone wants them. This place shouldn’t even be free! No way! God knows what’s in the mattresses. The owner should be ashamed!!!!

It’s a quiet, clean place, and communication with the host was very good. A great base for climbing Transfagarasan, seeing Vidraru Lake and visiting Curtea de Arges Monastery.
