Alexander House

We booked at short notice and were glad to find such a cosy, clean and intimate place. The staff were very kind, and they welcomed us and our little dog. We stayed one night and would happily return anytime. Easy to get to, and definitely recommendable.

The backyard was a lovely spot for morning coffee, and breakfast was fresh with plenty to choose from. Our rooms had a nice design and were very clean. The staff were kind and helpful. Everything was perfect, and I'd love to return. I totally recommend it.

The place itself was clean and nice enough, but the host was the worst. We booked two nights and ended up staying just one. Of the four parking spots, we were parked right in the middle of our designated space. The host called and asked us to move. We said we would since we were about to go out, though we couldn't see why, as we'd parked correctly. When we came back, another guest had taken up both spots. We complained, and the host promptly told us to leave, saying they had plenty of people on the waiting list anyway. The place is on a main road, with lots of traffic even on the weekend. Roses stick through the handrail and catch you as you climb the stairs to the first floor.

The staff were extremely helpful throughout my stay. The accommodation was comfortable and affordable, and getting around was easy: the bus to Hundedoara Castle stops across the road, while the main bus and train station is within walking distance or a short taxi ride away. Highly recommend.
