The rooms did have AC, which was the one good thing I found. They were small, with TVs from the 90s barely bigger than a laptop screen. The pontoon was neglected, with spiderwebs, wasps, rotten boards, and missing pieces in the wooden floor. The pool in the ad wasn’t much of a draw either. Its water was colder than the Danube, and whenever I tried to get in, the woman looking after the place started the cleaning robot. Its attached wire made swimming really uncomfortable. The food was poor too: the fries and traditional dishes were cold and made with cheap ingredients.

We loved it here. It’s clean and peaceful, the staff are really nice, and the food is great. The pool water was clean, right beside the Danube.
