10/10
The location made it easy to explore the city, and after a day out I could relax in a comfortable, spotless room. Casa David Boutique Hotel in Craiova felt cozy, with lovely decor, and the staff were always warm and ready to help with a smile. I had a wonderful stay and would recommend it to anyone wanting a memorable visit.

The paintings gave this small boutique hotel the feel of an art gallery, and I really enjoyed staying there. The staff were lovely, too.

I had to find somewhere else to stay at short notice after the hotel cancelled my reservation just a few days before the trip, despite having sent me a confirmation email. That caused a lot of hassle and made for a very disappointing experience. Guests need to be able to rely on confirmed bookings. Unexpected problems can happen, but the lack of accountability and contingency planning here reflected badly on the service. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel if you want a dependable, stress-free stay. If reliability matters to you, look elsewhere.

Breakfast was very good and filling, and the room was clean. The staff were lovely, and the old town is about a 10-minute walk away. But one window wouldn’t close properly, so I heard crickets all night. For a hotel rated four stars, I also expected a minibar or freezer.

The rooms were clean, the breakfast was great, and the Fengshue 😁 was lovely. The personnel were about as nice as they could be. What more could you ask for?
