We were told our room would be ready for check-in at 2 P.M. We gave them extra time and arrived at 2:30 P.M., but nobody was at reception. After waiting 15 minutes for the "manager" Andreia to arrive, we went for a drink. We understood the room still needed time and waited. When we called again, Andreia said it wasn't ready. By 3 P.M. we were tired and wanted to shower and rest. We called another 15 minutes later, and she shouted that it still wasn't ready. We asked for our advance payment back and said we'd find another hotel. Suddenly she was available and asked us to meet at reception. After arguing about getting our money back and leaving, she returned it, but then swore at my friend, called him names, and seemed furious. It felt like she couldn't handle the situation. Her attitude and what we felt were lies earned this bad review. I can't recommend this hostel or motel.

Since the new management took over in 2023, Hotel Solero has clearly changed after many renovations. They have 18 guest rooms and sit right by the beach, with affordable prices. The hosts are kind and responsive to what guests need. My wife is vegetarian, and they took her request into account. Their own kitchen serves a varied menu, including three kinds of soup, mici, sausages, pork neck, breaded curd, and pizza. The food can be enjoyed on a spacious, cool terrace.

Hotel Solero has had new management since 2023. It's right by Eforie Nord beach on the pedestrian area, and the staff are very friendly and attentive to requests. My wife is vegetarian, and they were considerate of that. The property is small, with 18 rooms, but the renovated terrace is a lovely shady spot with music and a TV. It's always available, and there's free Wi-Fi. They also serve CIORBA DE BURTA (soup with tripe).
