Hotel Vera

We've stayed here with family for many years because it used to be a decent budget option. This year was awful, though. The restaurant was the main problem: the food had gotten worse, and the small team was very young and inexperienced. One meal took over an hour to reach the table. The buffet breakfast included in the package was worse too. Under the "covid protocols," guests couldn't serve themselves, so staff brought the food, and the variety was cut to less than half. At the hotel, cleaning staff were basically nowhere to be seen and wouldn't change the towels for several days. There's also a club right in front, blasting loud music late into the night. Both the restaurant and hotel leave a lot to be desired. The whole place was unpleasant enough that I'd choose somewhere other than Eforie nord, but if you do go there, pick another hotel. Short version: don't stay here.

The bottled soda was the best thing we had. Our Pasta Carbonara arrived cold and very oily, and the french fries were cold too. The grilled minced meat rolls were burned outside and undercooked inside. We waited 30 min for the lava cake. I don't recommend this place.

The prices seem too high for the menu, how the food is plated, the service, and the place overall. I've eaten better in nicer surroundings elsewhere, for less. Here, the service wasn't good: food for 2 persons arrived about 15 minutes apart. The food itself was ok-ish, but the place wasn't as clean as I expected at those prices.

After waiting 45 minutes for a simple order, we got cold french fries and salads that tasted awful. The service was very lavish, especially for family. What should have been a nice dinner with family and friends turned out to be a bad one. We won't come back.
