Romantic Boutique Hotel

We were pleasantly surprised by how spotless the room was and how welcoming the staff were. The breakfast was delicious, with plenty of choice, and the hotel is fairly close to the city center. The front desk lady kindly warmed some milk for our girls for the night, so I’d recommend staying here with small children. We’ll definitely come back. The one drawback was the small parking area in front, which can get crowded.

We were booked into this hotel because of an event nearby. Five rooms were booked, though we stayed in one. When we arrived, we were told our room wasn’t ready, even though the booker had paid for early check-in. We came back later and found used underwear from the previous guest in the bathroom. Guests in the other rooms reported urine in toilets, open soaps or bottles under beds, and a nonworking AC. Disgusting. Find a better hotel.

The only good thing was the willing waitress who passed our messages along to the kitchen. The expired blue cheese on the pasta made my very young daughters reject their plates. That’s what happened. Three disappointed customers!

UPDATE: The owner replied to my review trying to hide their failures. I uploaded pictures as proof that I’m telling the truth and stayed at your miserable accommodation. You keep embarrassing yourself. I look forward to seeing how you edit or delete your reply. I spent a month trying to find a solution with both the hotel and the agent, and neither did anything. I was offered 10 pounds in compensation for what follows. Customer service was zero, and the staff were rude and unwelcoming. We waited 20 minutes at reception with no way to communicate, since all the phones were there, while the receptionist slept in a room. Anyone could get into the hotel, putting customers’ safety at risk. The 195 lei fee was for accommodation two hours earlier on 26.08.23, an arrangement that wasn’t honored. My clients were also told not all rooms would be ready at 2pm, the time set out in the contract. When I called, the woman identified herself as her colleague and said she had no note of the request in the system. That was completely false, as my guests confirmed. She also refused to identify herself when asked, even though the reservation is a contract and that was a normal request. The owner may be the receptionist or manager, based on the business card, but I can’t say for sure. There was basic hygiene missing in the rooms given to my clients. In three rooms they found urine in the toilet, underwear in the bathroom, cans under the bed, and used soap. The air conditioner in the fourth room didn’t work. As harsh as it sounds, I haven’t lied about anything. This was my experience after booking five rooms.
