Motel Prietenia

We stopped here while riding the EV6. The staff were friendly and really helpful, and kindly found a secure place for our bikes. It's on the edge of town, but that wasn't necessarily an issue, with shops and restaurants nearby.

We only stayed overnight while passing through. The room was spacious, with a double bed and two sofas converted into beds, so two people could sleep comfortably. There was a constant smell that got worse in the bathroom. You can get through one night in transit, but I wouldn't recommend a longer stay.

At 9 in the morning, they shut off the water without warning us, so I couldn't wash. We left and I had to wash my face in a gas station restroom. The repairman who turned it off didn't even answer when I said good morning. The owners are Roma, and I saw the woman smoking in what looked like an office at the back. The whole hotel smelled horrible, and the place was disgusting. Since then, we haven't stayed overnight in Giurgiu. We cross the border and sleep in Ruse instead, which we find much, much cleaner, with nice hotels and many more of them.

I found the rooms disgusting and wouldn't give the place even one star. They're very old and dirty, with gray walls from previous guests smoking inside. I refused to touch anything in the room.
