From our experience, this is easily Romania’s best monastery. It’s actually a nunnery, tucked away from tourists and fame, and the courtyard is beautifully maintained. We only passed through and didn’t stay in the guesthouse, but it’s definitely worth the drive. The place is so peaceful that you feel calm and purified as soon as you enter. Birds sing, flowers and wind fill the courtyard, and sometimes you can hear the nuns praying. The architecture is simple and carefully decorated.
