Pensiunea Vasilescu

Really nice pension.

I slept well on the comfortable mattress. The owner was friendly and kind, and the room had heat, hot water, clean towels, and free toiletries.

My parents arrived for the night they had booked, only to be told another tourist wanted to extend their stay by a night or two. They were sent elsewhere instead. That’s no professionalism at all. You make plans, then they change things at the last minute. The place they were moved to was awful, up in a guesthouse attic with no air conditioning or TV. The cleanliness was questionable too: my parents found towels on the floor, as if someone had used them after bathing and left them there. I wouldn’t be surprised if the Vasilescu guesthouse had similar conditions, since they recommended that nightmare. Like attracts like, as they say. I can’t recommend this guesthouse. They don’t honor reservations, and you could arrive to find yourself with nowhere to stay.

Sebastian and his mother welcomed us like family, such warm and lovely people. The house is laid out well, with spacious, very clean rooms and a comfortable bed and pillows. The bathroom was roomy too, though the shower tub was quite small. We had a nice evening and a good rest. I recommend it.
