Hotel Meteor

We stayed in one of the modern renovated rooms with a balcony, and the cost was reasonable. I’d recommend paying for the upgrade over a basic room. Breakfast can be included in the room package, and there are plenty of restaurants and shops close by. Hotel Meteor is right by the beach, a great place to unwind and watch the sunrise. Neptun is another 10-15 minute walk away, with more amenities and lovely beaches, though Jupiter’s beaches are rockier. The facilities were clean and well kept, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Everything was better than I expected during our summer stay on Romania’s seaside. If you want somewhere quiet, clean, and affordable, I highly recommend Hotel Meteor.

There’s parking for the car, and the beach is clean and looked after, although the entry into the water is a bit rocky. We could hear some noise from a nearby amusement park until around 11 pm. The food was great, but there was no English menu. Staff spoke English and were friendly and helpful. The location is beautiful, and it was a good place for the price.

The beds weren’t comfortable, and breakfast was poor. The rooms and bathroom were clean, though the rooms felt a bit dated. The TV was old and didn’t work; we had to scan it and put batteries in the remote.

Everything felt very old and deserted, almost like a haunted place. There wasn’t even toilet paper in the room, and the bed and door made sounds like something from a horror movie. It doesn’t deserve a star, yet it has three. Apparently some romanians have very low standards, especially those who approved it as a 3-star hotel.
