The rooms at Orhideea Guesthouse are immaculate, with a fridge, telephone, balcony, and private bathroom. Wireless internet is available throughout the property. There are 10 rooms, with twin and matrimonial beds, on the 1st and 2nd floors. The restaurant is closed to outside visitors and serves traditional local cuisine. I first found a parking lot with room for at least 10 cars, then went inside to a restaurant with about 30 seats. A beautifully decorated Christmas tree and a warm fireplace made it feel welcoming. Since Christmas preparations were underway on the eve of the holidays, I took a look at the dishes being prepared for the Christmas Eve table. They looked mouthwatering. My experience at Orhideea Guesthouse was more than pleasant. With that magnificent view from the room, the hosts’ hospitality, traditional food, and cleanliness, it’s a perfect place to rest, vacation, or go hiking.
