For nature lovers and people who fish, this is a great spot. It's clean and tidy, and I liked the location, the local food, and the owner's hospitality.
It was okay.
Be ready for a nomadic sort of stay. We tried getting in by car, and made it back out, but I wouldn't try that again today. The mosquitoes don't sting, they bite 😂 We stayed in the main building. The men's and women's bathrooms are shared, there's no daily cleaning or air conditioning, and the rooms stay very hot until midnight. We asked for breakfast and dinner. The host mostly cooks fish, though he's no master chef. He was very helpful otherwise and did whatever he could for us. It's a paradise for fishermen, and you can rent a boat. The host arranged a boat tour for us, and that was great. That's the short version.
The kitchen is well equipped, and there's cable TV, wifi, and a bathroom with hot and cold water. Outside, you'll find a big yard, garden oven, a place for cooking in a pot, benches, and a separate room for cleaning fish. The place is clean and well kept considering where it is. It has a homely feel, with home-style food and a friendly host. I'd recommend it to anyone.
