Hotel Grand Dedal

The room was clean, pleasant and spacious, with a balcony. The pool was fine, though shorter than it looks in the picture, maybe 8m. Food choices were limited, and there were only two beers available, both in 33cl bottles.

I was so disappointed with the food, rooms and hotel overall. The pool was freezing, the views were awful, and the bed was hard and uncomfortable, squeaking whenever I moved. Food was a big letdown too: the meat was often undercooked or overcooked, and the scrambled eggs at breakfast had huge bits of shell in them. I stayed five days and four nights, and it was the worst experience I’ve had. It may look fancy and welcoming in the photos, but the reality was horrible. I expected much more from a four-star hotel with such high reviews. I’m never coming back.

There’s a pool and a bar, plus Wi-Fi that worked well for remote work. The beach is about a five-minute walk away, and the room rates were lower than elsewhere nearby. It’s a decent hotel, but the area has no infrastructure at all: no road, and construction is going on around it, as in the rest of the area.

The building is new and the staff are very friendly. There’s a nice pool in the yard, but the music gets really loud, especially at night. The windows also need mosquito nets, which the hotel doesn’t have.
