Hotel Alcor

We were able to leave our bags at reception for a few hours after checking out, and breakfast was tasty and served until 10:30. The beachfront setting was lovely too. Our room was clean and renovated, with new furniture. A couple of details were disappointing. The listing mentioned an airport transfer included in the room rate, but when I asked at checkout, reception said they had no private transfer service and could call a taxi. We assumed that would be at our expense, so we took an Uber instead. The hotel room rate was RON 890, while we had paid RON 1050 through Booking. Also, some photos show a pool, but it's at the neighboring hotel and isn't available to Alcor guests. The description itself doesn't mention a pool, so check the details carefully.

Breakfast had plenty of fresh, tasty choices, and the hotel even has an electric car charging station for guests. Our room was clean and pleasant, with a beautiful sea view. The staff were really kind too. Big like!

The beach is right there, so the missing pool didn't bother me much, even though the property doesn't have one of its own. You can see Hotel Vega's Pool, though. Our balcony looked out over the sea, which was mesmerizing, and the staff were polite and helpful. The room was clean and hygienic, and the food was amazing. A nice stay, and I'd recommend it.

The room wifi didn't work on the top floor, and for several hours every day, starting around 4pm, we had no water at all. No shower, no tap water, and nothing for the toilet. That's a lot to overlook for a hotel that calls itself four star. The view was good, the beach area decent, and breakfast was okay. There were plenty of staff and they were good natured. Also, despite what the description says, this hotel has no pool.
