Hotel Victoria

The balcony door wouldn't shut properly, so I could hear the breeze at night and the room got chilly. There was a thick layer of dust on the furniture, and we found random socks in a nightstand. The morning after the wedding, they had run out of coffee. Really? The bride asked if our room was clean because the bridal suite wasn't, and neither was her parents' room. We'd booked a month ahead as part of the wedding party, with half the guest list staying here. At check-in before the wedding, we changed our checkout date after speaking with the front desk and completed the paperwork. They didn't follow through, and someone tried to come into our room. There was no breakfast.

The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the AC worked well, and the staff were nice. The location is great, and the rooms are in good condition, though they can be loud, so this is more suited to adults. The bathroom is small and could use improvement. There are some signs of wear, including a door that doesn't close well and minor paint defects. It's a good choice if you're looking for a three-star beach hotel.

The room service was disappointing: the garbage bin was too small and went unemptied for three days. The bathroom was very tiny, and there was nowhere on the balcony to put wet things. Still, we felt good there and enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect, near Mamaia Bazar and Telegondola, with easy, close access to the beach. We parked near the hotel for free, the breakfast was great, and the bed was very comfortable.

The balcony had a lovely sea view, and you’re right by the beach. The pool in the listing photos is there, but it’s tiny, around 3 by 6 metres, and not directly at the hotel. With what seemed like about 400 rooms, it felt especially small. Meals were also a crowded affair at this all-inclusive hotel. There are a few free parking spots, though they’re very hard to get; parking outside costs 20 Leu a day.
