Paradiso

The food was awful. Most of it was undercooked, the vegetables were far too salty, and all the meat was crunchy even though it wasn't supposed to have bones. The rooms were also low standard: no lock on the bathroom door, no soap, and a strange mark on one of the beds. A terrible stay, and I wouldn't come back.

It's right beside the beach, less than a five-minute walk from the restaurant. The rooms were fine, the Wi-Fi was good, and the AC worked well, thankfully. There weren't many usable outlets, and even fewer near the beds.

The staff were fine, especially the reception team and cleaning ladies, and the rooms were kept clean. But the furniture is very old, and the bathrooms need a complete redo. The pool was dirty and poorly maintained, and its chairs were old and dirty too. The gym was closed for no reason. In my opinion, this hotel doesn't deserve three stars.

The only thing I can recommend is the treatment center for elderly guests next door, which you can access directly from the hotel. Otherwise, it feels more like a 1.5-star place. There are three elevators, but they're painfully slow, and since many guests are elderly, it can take a long time to get one you can use. Our room had no blackout curtains, so we woke around 5 a.m. at sunrise almost every day. The restaurant has the feel and smell of a Communist-era canteen, and the food is really mediocre.
