Hotel Fenyo

The lobby and staff were fine, but the hotel was too expensive for what you get. The room felt like the communist era, and the TV looked a hundred years old. There’s a concert every second.

The room and bathroom were clean, with a standard hotel layout and recently reconditioned rooms. We found the breakfast very good, with plenty of Swedish-style options. Staff greeted us warmly, and there’s private parking behind the building with an EV charging station. I’d recommend it.

The party was still going strong at 1:19 am after starting around 23:00, and we were told it would only end at 3 am. The hotel staff seemed completely powerless, as did Local Police. I’m extremely dissatisfied that nobody told us about the party at check-in. We should have been able to make an informed choice about staying under those conditions.

The spa grounds are clean, modern and pleasant, with an indoor pool, hot tub, Finnish, infrared and steam saunas, plus ice cubes, a cold salt room and massages. The massage was pretty good, but the staff were a little sloppy and didn’t pay much attention to what customers needed. The biggest draw, the hot tub with salty and mineral water, was out of order, so we couldn’t use it.
