The mountain quiet made it easy to unwind, and the rooms were roomy with a really comfortable bed. I also loved the delicious food made locally, which gave me a taste of the region. The staff were so friendly and ready to help with whatever I needed. I had a wonderful stay :)

We come back every year. The food is great, portions are generous, and the prices are good. You can get coffee or tea any time, and Geanina is always helpful and around if you need something. The interior has a nice rustic feel, and the setting is lovely. Getting there means going up a steep road, but it's nothing unusual. We even saw a Dacia Logan parked at the top, so if the climb feels tough, maybe practice your driving a little. Sometimes they light a campfire in the backyard.

The landscape was beautiful, and the two women on staff were lovely and did a lot to make things better. In my opinion, they deserve a raise for their efforts. The rest of our corporate event was a mess, though, and I wouldn't recommend this place. We had booked the entire property for 35 people, and the host knew our arrival time, around 2 PM. The heating still wasn't on when we got there. It was started in the evening, but the building stayed cold that night. The next morning there was no tap water. The owner said their water collection system had stopped working, possibly because of a hydrophore problem or not enough water in the tank. We had no water for brushing our teeth, washing our hands, or using the toilets, and the issue lasted until nearly that evening. The rooms also seemed only superficially cleaned. In mine, there was a spot beside the bed where it looked as if someone had vomited, and it hadn't been properly cleaned. Most concerning, the main cook the owner invited for our event was drunk the whole time. With the water outage and the cook's condition, I suspect hygiene procedures weren't followed. A week later, some of us found out we had a virus that caused aphthous stomatitis and inflammation in the mouth.

We spent the whole weekend bundled up in winter clothes because the house was so cold. The owner had apparently planned an "Ice age" theme. During our team building, it was too cold to sit and chat with colleagues, and when we asked them to switch on the terrace heaters, they said there wasn't enough gas. The next day, we had no water from the taps and couldn't use the toilets or shower for at least 5-6 hours. Food was the biggest issue: many of us got food poisoning and other health problems that lasted more than two weeks. In the attached pictures, the meat appears to have been left on the floor to marinate. We also had to argue to get the campfire experience the company had agreed on with them for the last night. It felt like the owner was trying to save gas, water, and wood at our expense, as if hosting us were a favor. This was the worst experience I've had at a place like this.
