Hotel Trotus

The breakfast was a letdown, and the charging setup makes no sense. Go just $1 over your allowance and they bill you for a whole item. The service itself was good, but the smell in the hallways and rooms was unbearable, like cheap perfume. It turned out to be their cleaning products, which seem toxic. If you have allergies, this place probably isn't for you. For the price, the standards were disappointing, and I wouldn't stay again.

The noise never really stopped, so relaxing or sleeping was difficult, and the service was poor for what they charge. The rooms feel overpriced given their condition. I remember this hotel from years ago, but this stay for work was awful: mold in the room, a constant sewage smell, and no hot water. The place has become dirty and badly run down, nothing like it used to be. I can't recommend it until these major problems are dealt with.

The area around the hotel was quite nice, and the room was fairly clean. Sadly, that was about it. We had their best suite at Trotus, or what they call a suite, and there was no hot water at all. The rooms felt stuffy and hard to breathe in, and the AC couldn't cool ours properly during the day. For what they offer, the price was really high: our room cost 140 euros a night, which is completely unacceptable. Hot water from the tap? Only in your dreams.

I've stayed here a few times, and the rooms have been clean, comfortable, and well kept. This visit, though, we were on the fourth floor at the front while a wedding party was going on. It stayed noisy into the early hours. Ask for a room at the back if you want some peace and quiet.
