Pension Cabana Cetatile Ponorului

We came back for another four-day hiking stay in Padis, and we'd happily return again. The food was a highlight at both breakfast and dinner, and the staff were kind and ready to help. After dinner, we sat outside by a campfire with a drink. There's now a warm outdoor bath tucked among tall pines beside a cliff, too. When snow is heavy, they can take guests to the parking area, about 4.5 km away, by snowmobile if requested.

There are plenty of things to do around the chalet, including ping pong, badminton, a playground and a trampoline, though the Wi-Fi is very weak. The staff are really kind, and the food was delicious, but breakfast had no fruit. The place sits right in nature, with walks nearby to Lumea Pierduta, Casa de Piatra, Cetatile Ponorului, Cheile Glabenei and Poiana Glovoi. The chalet itself is lovely. Our room was comfortable, though quite small.

We slept well in the comfortable beds, even though our room was small and had girders. The staff were very kind and helpful. Breakfast and dinner were tasty and there was plenty of food. The bar has draft beer, and being able to pay by card was a nice extra. Beautiful place.

After a long day on the trail, it was lovely to come back to a hot meal and a comfortable bed. The rooms are simple but clean, and the owners are very friendly. It's a cozy, authentic spot surrounded by woods and nature. I'd absolutely come back. Thank you!
