Cochet Accommodation

It's cheap and clean, but the amenities are minimal and the walls are very, very thin. There's no breakfast, elevator, or disabled access. Right beside a busy road, the place can leave your car dusty after just a few hours, and the view from a room facing the road is awful. Parking is improvised but free. I took off a star for the missing breakfast, one for the poor soundproofing, and one for the access, parking, and view.

The beds were good and the place was nice. The rooms were quite small, so there wasn't really space to sit and play cards. The shower pressure was weak, and the water temperature kept shifting.

Really good value for money. The rooms were beautiful, huge, and well equipped, and all the listed amenities were new and worked perfectly. In the morning, the croissants and coffee machine were a lovely touch before leaving. The center is a bit of a walk, around 25 minutes, but Bicaz bus station is less than a 10-minute walk away if you're heading there by public transport.

We stayed for almost three weeks with our two dogs, both rottweilers, and it came to feel like home. The balcony was a lovely spot for morning coffee, and the owners made sure there was always coffee and croissants in the morning. The windows are solid, so despite being on a busy road we couldn't hear the traffic. Everything we needed was there, but what stood out most was the incredibly good service and how kind everyone was. We had some unfortunate events during our holiday, and the owners helped us feel happy again. When one of our dogs had terrible indigestion at 7 in the morning, they immediately drove us to a vet. I believe that saved our boy's life, and we'll always be grateful. I'd recommend Cochet Accomodation in Piatra Neamt for the wonderful people who run it and make you feel safe and at home.
