I was here with a group of around 30-40 people, Monday through Saturday, with Saturday being our departure day. The staff welcomed me warmly, and most were polite throughout. It was surprisingly quiet and pleasant, and meals were provided for the group, with the menu chosen in advance. The service was great, and the location worked well. There just aren’t as many facilities within a five-minute walk as at other Poiana Brasov hotels I’ve stayed in. The rooms were questionable for cleanliness, with visible wear and mold on the bathroom walls. For the price, I’d give it four stars, though that’s generous. Other nearby hotels at 350-400 RON a night can offer a very different and more pleasant stay. Thanks to the hotel staff for having us. I hope to return and see some improvements.

I don’t think this place deserves four stars, maybe two at most. The room smelled of cigarettes and had several issues: missing drawer handles, a shabby shower cabin and faucet, and no tissues. The power socket was behind the bed, out of reach unless you had an extension lead.

The receptionist was really nice, and the rest of the staff were pleasant too. The room was okay, though not perfect. The shower was weak, the Wi-Fi in the room was awful, and the door wouldn’t lock. Hotel food was about a 5/10, not great.

The rooms were clean, and the hotel was almost too warm after being out in freezing weather. It’s across from the slopes. But the Booking site made a lot of promises: the price went up by 60% between booking and the debit to my account, with no refund option, and the promised king bed turned out to be just a double.
