We used to visit every year and I really liked the food, so it’s a shame the restaurant has become such a rip-off. It’s now an auto-service place, with prices like a 3 star Michelin restaurant. We quickly found somewhere much cheaper that didn’t even have auto service. I’ve never given a restaurant one star before, but this one deserves it. I can’t say much about the hotel itself.

The rooms were fairly clean, but the furniture looked extremely bad, like it was from the Soviet era. Breakfast was basic, the sort I remember from military school. The Wi-Fi connected but gave no internet, and there was no cellphone signal in the rooms. It’s a 2 star hotel, and at 200 ron (about 50 dollars), you can honestly find much better for the price. Without that high cost it might have been decent, but the services don’t justify what they charge. I regret not taking more photos of the furniture, though I did take one of the bathroom door.

There are lots of little vendors selling salt from the mine, toys, rugs, and wooden items. Prices are generally high, though you can find the occasional bargain.
