Pensiunea Ursuletul

We had a great stay, and the price was good. Breakfast was delicious, dinner was nice though not the best, and the staff were the friendliest. The spa was quiet, and we all enjoyed the jacuzzi, which is also a small pool. Everything was very clean except the spa toilets. The peaceful location is not far from the slopes or town. It's a fairly new hotel and they seem to still be finding their way. One thing we missed was an electric kettle for making tea in the evening. In a four star hotel we expected complimentary welcome water, but the only option was paid Evian. Still, it was a wonderful experience and finally a great hotel in Predeal.

The rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable, and the fridge was well stocked with drinks. But there was no coffee machine, and the restaurant doesn't open until 8:30, with no entry before then. You can't even make tea in the room. Some people get up EARLY, and at these prices that's a big miss. There are also little signs of repair needed, like fallen hangers and damaged walls. It's a shame given the investment, but the place doesn't seem well maintained or attentive to detail. Staff were a little better than the restaurant. The outdoor parking holds around 15 cars max.

The mountain view from the restaurant is amazing, and the hotel is a great place in both summer and winter. I was here for a teambuilding. It’s a beautiful hotel, Austrian style on the outside and modern inside, and the food was really, really good.

The dessert alone was a highlight: their pain perdu is sweet bread soaked in milk, caramelised in the oven, and served with homemade vanilla ice cream. We were there for an event over four days, and the service was impeccable throughout. I’d initially underestimated the place because of its name, but the location, design, and accommodation impressed me. It’s a newly renovated, intimate hotel with 40 rooms. I recommend it.
