I loved my short stay at Rusticana and will definitely return for longer. It’s good value for a family-run hotel, especially with a nice breakfast included. The room was clean, rustic, and had a balcony with an amazing mountain view. I slept well, despite having read some bad room reviews. It’s a 3 star hotel that the hosts are working to upgrade. Host Carmen used to be head cook at fancy restaurants, so the food is excellent. The heat is on even in July and can be adjusted, which is useful as nights can get chilly. Dog lovers may especially enjoy it, as the hosts have several rescue dogs on the property with strong personalities.

The view really is amazing, and the host was reasonably nice, but this wasn’t what we were looking for. The access road is horrible, and the rooms were disappointing. The beds were so uncomfortable for tall people that two of us couldn’t find a good sleeping position. The TVs are small, cleanliness could be better, and everything feels old, though at least repairs are underway.

Lovely views in every direction, with friendly service and tasty breakfast and dinner. The rooms were clean too. It’s a beautiful place, and I recommend going.
