Pensiunea Valea Cetatii

Right by Rasnov citadel, this restaurant is very good and affordable.

We liked the food so much that we came back twice. It tastes homemade, and there are plenty of good vegetarian choices, including the sour soup. The papanași and sweet cheese pancakes were really good too 👌

The place itself seemed nice and quiet, and it’s very close to dino park. We booked one night, but after a quick check-in with the only young woman hosting at the property, we headed straight to the park since it was nearly 5pm. She showed us the room and gave us keys for it and the front door. When we came back, nobody was there. The door had been left locked from the inside, with no way for us to get in. Our 3-year-old was in the car, honking and knocking, and the phone number we’d been given was switched off. We had to contact the company we booked through, and they eventually moved us somewhere else at 9pm. The property looked good, but we never got to try the food or sleep in the beds, so I can’t comment on those. I wouldn’t return after nearly being left without anywhere to stay for the night.

We didn’t sleep there ourselves, but our friends had rooms, so we spent time at the place both during the day and at night. The owner, Cristi, treated us like friends, which made us feel so welcome. It’s quiet and peaceful, the food was amazing, and we even got to see the Bears 🐻 last night. Such a beautiful experience. Mulțumim frumos Cristi / Pensiunea Cetăți cu siguranța vom reveni!
