HP Tower One Brasov

I’ve stayed here loyally for many years, which made the service on my latest visit especially disappointing. The front desk staff were short on both attitude and professionalism. I was also charged half the cost of a full night when I asked for a late checkout. That felt unreasonable after being a long-time guest. The service has noticeably gone downhill.

The staff are what make this hotel feel special. Receptionists and waiters alike are friendly, professional, and always ready to help, so you feel welcome and at home. I’ve stayed here around 40 times over the last two years, for several nights each visit. The food is excellent whatever you choose, and the beef tenderloin is a must-try.

Breakfast was very limited: boiled and fried sausages, plus fried processed meat. There weren’t even basic choices like boiled eggs, and at 10:30 AM staff strictly closed breakfast and noisily began clearing things away, which made guests feel unwelcome. I felt a complete lack of respect throughout the stay. Before arriving, I called about the spa and was told it opened after 8 AM. Once there, I found out it wasn’t working. When I reported that the bathtub was clogged and filling with water, I was told a technician would come, but nobody did. On following up, they said no technician was available. An hour and a half later, they suggested using a bath in the spa that wasn’t working. The room was also extremely noisy at night. The hotel is behind a busy main street, and with no proper window insulation, I heard traffic all night. This was one of the worst experiences I’ve had in 51 countries. I highly recommend avoiding this hotel, and honestly don’t understand its 4-star rating.

I really liked the design and carpet, and the view of the cool mountains was good. The food at Hp hotel was delicious, the place felt very luxurious, and the WiFi was strong. Service was quick, too. The sliding door in my room broke, as did the doorbell.
