The receptionist was very kind. It’s a small hotel on the outskirts of Satu Mare, with fairly clean rooms that open directly to the outside.

The conditions leave a lot to be desired, especially the linens and towels, which were beyond criticism. Luckily, I’d brought my own towels. They’re quick to ask for payment, though. The one good thing is that there’s parking.

The hosts were very kind and polite, and the hotel is right by the road with a large parking lot, which was a big plus. Everything else was fine, and the staff cleaned and washed the bathroom. But the shower hose was broken and sprayed water all over the bathroom, so the shower wasn’t relaxing. There was also only one blanket for the large double bed, which wasn’t comfortable for colleagues or relatives. We had to explain the problem at length before the host, who kept assuring us it was large enough, finally gave us another blanket.

For an overnight stop on a long trip, this is a convenient and inexpensive option. The rooms are small, clean, and have a shower, toilet, beds, towels, and shampoo. There’s ample parking inside the complex, and you can pay in Romanian lei or euros. The energetic, polite hostess offers lunch for an extra fee. I wouldn’t stay for a long time, but we travel this way often and plan to stop again. One tip for finding the parking and reception: near the ring road, don’t stop by the building. Drive straight through the narrow passage behind it, then turn right at the end.
