The photos give the wrong impression, the place looks quite different in reality. The bathroom is horrible, with rust, a drain that doesn’t work properly, and an awful smell. Parking costs 35lei per day. At 270 lei a day plus parking, I’d rather take my chances somewhere else.

The pool is a strong point, and it deserves to be shared with Sirena, Balada and Hora hotels. The location near the sea is another plus. Breakfast was good, though sometimes they reused items from the day before. The elevators are slow, there’s no room service, and the room cleaning was poor. It feels like a two-star hotel and might suit someone with modest expectations.

Hora is a joke, and an overpriced one. It’s filthy and completely outdated, nowhere near worth its 3* rating. The shower floods the bath because they haven’t bothered with a proper shower cabin or even a curtain. The cleaning woman only takes out the rubbish each day. Don’t go, save your holiday for a proper place to stay.

The staff were really nice and helpful, and did their best to make our stay pleasant. It’s right on the beach in a quiet area, and can be a good option if you can’t find anywhere available in Vama Veche. The hotel is mostly used by retirees on rest or treatment tickets. It’s a very old, refurbished three-star place, so expect a strong communist-era feel. They’ve changed some things, and it’s clean and fine for sleeping a few nights. With the right expectations, you’ll be okay :)

The location and cleanliness are the only good points. The rooms are outdated, the A/C is full of mud and fungus, and the hallway looks like the 80s. It doesn’t deserve 3 stars, two at most. Change the owner or manager.
