Best Western Silva Hotel

The breakfast buffet had plenty of fresh, tasty choices, and the staff were polite, professional, and quick to help. My room was spotless and comfortable. Set beside Sub Arini Park, the hotel has a lovely, peaceful feel, while the Old Town is a pleasant 15-minute walk away. I’d ask for a "Park View" room for the fresh air and scenery. Best Western Silva made a quiet base for exploring Sibiu, and I was very satisfied with my stay.

The only real drawback was the balcony facing the nearby park. When I opened a window, bugs came flying in, so window nets would make it easier to air out the room. Otherwise, I enjoyed my stay and would choose this hotel again. It’s in central Sibiu, with plenty of included parking out front. The staff were polite, the air conditioning worked, and the room had lots of storage and a comfortable bed. Breakfast was excellent, including gluten free bread.

The beds were very comfortable, and the room was cleaned spotlessly every day. Staff were welcoming and helpful, and there’s a bus stop and park just steps away in this quiet area. Parking is on site, though it seems to cost extra. Breakfast starts at 7:00 AM and was fine, with more savory choices than anything else. The drinks machine offered some odd options, so we preferred making tea or coffee. The rooms have had some renovation but still look old. The air conditioning worked, though it made strange noises that kept us from using it overnight. The bathroom was oddly designed, and a shower left the whole floor flooded.

The park setting is quiet and green, and the rooms with balconies are a real plus. Best Western Silva is an older hotel, though, and the rooms feel dated rather than modern. It could use renovation, especially for the price, which isn’t particularly budget friendly. Breakfast was mediocre and forgettable. The peaceful location might still suit some travelers.
