It did have a certain charm, but the room was extremely cramped, with no space for a wardrobe or desk. The bathroom was so tiny that turning around in the shower or toilet area was difficult. There was just one small window and no air conditioning, which was essential. Roof work also left builders' rubble all over the courtyard and made quite a lot of noise.

The attic is worth choosing if it's free. The room was nice, the location was great, and the price was very affordable. The stairs are narrow, which makes sense in such an old building in the old town. If you need only the most modern accommodation, the Hilton outside the city walls may suit you better.

We ended up with the last room available after booking at the last minute. It was small, but spotlessly clean, with lovely decor, especially the mirror frame and wall decorations. The owner was kind and did everything to help us. Across the street, their restaurant had great food, beautiful decorations, and old-style furniture. My sister and I had a wonderful time and would happily stay here again.

The fortress location was the only real plus for us. The floor and furniture scratched at the slightest movement, and the stale, dusty smell lingered for days after we left. The bathroom was dirty, with cheap fittings and decor trying to imitate old ones. We stayed one night, but it wasn't worth the money. A hotel outside the fortress would have been a much better choice.
