Apartment Carol

I can't recommend this place after the rude treatment we received. We rented the Carol apartment in Sinaia for a few days. The apartment itself was okay, but a person's behavior at the property, possibly the owner, seriously affected our stay. We arrived and parked in front of the garage, leaving room for a car behind us, following the instructions and the sign saying not to park “beyond that point.” At 6 am the next morning, we found another car blocking us when we were about to go hiking, so we had to leave on foot. When we got back, we moved our car but kept it within the permitted area. The following morning, tickets had been left on it along with complaints about where we'd parked. What upset me most was the gentleman's arrogant, aggressive approach. He came out in a bathrobe and slippers, seeming ready for a confrontation, and spoke in an intimidating way instead of trying to discuss it civilly. It felt as though we might be physically attacked. This behavior is unacceptable at a tourist property. A respectful conversation could have sorted things out. After that unpleasant encounter, I can't recommend the accommodation to other tourists.

A disaster. The place hadn't been cleaned when we arrived, and there was a nasty mold smell. Check-in took ages, communication with the owner was poor, and we canceled after checking in.
