The bed setup was awkward for a couple: there was no double bed or shared blanket, just two single beds pushed together with narrow covers that seemed suited only to skinny people. Not great if you like sleeping close. The room also had only a large glass door and no window. Opening it let snow onto the carpet and cold air straight toward the bed, so airing the room or cooling it down wasn’t really possible. There were some good things too. The room was neat and clean, though a bit overheated, with a minibar in the fridge, snacks, and instant coffee and tea, all with prices posted. The hotel has wet and dry saunas, bathrobes, and some parking spaces. Sadly, the slippers provided were for children, not adults. Breakfast had a nice range of food and styles. The location is good, close to the city center and Peles and Pelisor Castles. Cabana Schiorilor is right next door, and its food is very tasty, though a bit expensive. At the last dinner I saw a waiter pick a fork up off the floor and put it on the table while setting up for 12 people, so they need to revisit their hygiene practices.

The restaurant is in a cozy, quiet spot, with fresh, tasty food at convenient prices. I’d absolutely recommend it.

We stayed in room 201, with two bedrooms and two terraces. The rooms were super clean, with forest views from the private terraces, and the mountain view was beautiful. Breakfast was yummy and included. The hotel has its own parking, and the hiking trail starts right at the door. I also forgot my phone charger, and the workers kindly let me know so I could pick it up. 10/10.

Huge rooms for the price, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel isn’t in the town center, so keep that in mind, though it’s very close to the cable cars. Breakfast is limited but enough: yogurt, omelets, a few kinds of cheese and meat, bread, and a few vegetables and fruits.
