Ms. Camelia and her husband were such lovely people to deal with, helpful, funny, and interesting. They made us feel welcome and treated us with real kindness. The garden was wonderful, with a peaceful bench by the river Sovata, and the conditions were great. It was a wonderful place to stay and unwind. You both get a 10 out of 10 from me!

I got there by public transport, and Camellia came to pick me up and help me get oriented around the lakes and nearby places of interest. The family made the whole stay feel warm and welcoming, and everyone speaks fluent english. Camellia & Cyril put so much care into looking after each guest, which explains why so many people come back. I’d happily return too. Top-notch hospitality, and I’m wishing them health and happiness.

The garden runs right down to the creek, and it was a lovely place to relax after a day out. The house is only a few steps from the supermarket and about a 15-minute walk from Ursu lake. Our rooms were clean, nicely furnished, and freshly renovated. We enjoyed staying here in 2015, and by 2021 the accommodation had improved even more. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty, and came with entertaining stories and the hosts’ best Irish humor. Camelia and Cyril always make us feel at home, and we’ve had a blissful time in Sovata on every visit. We’ll gladly come back. There’s plenty to explore nearby. Lacul Mierlei, along the Salt path, is salty and relaxing, while the Mocanita narrow gauge railway runs tourist trips three times a day just five minutes from the villa. Praid salt mine is a 20-minute drive away, and the surrounding mountains are sublime, with good hiking opportunities. Sovata itself is a wonderful, surprising resort, well worth a long, relaxing stay. Ursu is the world’s largest heliothermal lake.
