Pensiunea Santa Fe

The rooms are spacious and clean, and the staff are kind. It’s a fairly quiet guesthouse, though a bit far from the city center. There’s private parking and a restaurant downstairs. The room prices are pretty high, but the restaurant is decent.

The breakfast was a standard spread of eggs, bread, cold meats, and cereal, with excellent coffee. I loved my steak, though the restaurant menu has little to interest you if you don’t eat much meat. It’s a pleasant, unremarkable small hotel that seems well managed. The rooms are larger than in many places, and the facilities in them are excellent.

The food was great, but the stay had a few frustrations. There was no receptionist, and the door kept sticking, so we had to try several times to unlock it. The bathroom makeup mirror was dirty, the minibar was empty, and the shower bar fell on me. I reported it on WhatsApp but still hadn’t received a reply by today. Since we were there for just one night, I didn’t expect an immediate repair, but I did expect a thank-you or some sign that they cared. I expected more from a 4-star place :D

The rooms were nice and clean, though a bit small. Sitting on the toilet put you right under the sink. Breakfast was a limited buffet set out early, with no refills if something ran out, so you had to get there early and rush for enough food. Drinks were limited too: just one tea or coffee, and a second one showed up as a charge at checkout. There isn’t a proper parking lot, and the streets were so busy that we had to find a random spot several blocks away. For what it costs, the service felt poor. I’ve had dozens of better stays for the same money.
