The rooms and beds are spacious, and the views and location are great. Ionela and the other front desk staff were friendly and helpful. But breakfast was mediocre at best: the coffee machine was overworked and not very clean, and there were no utensils. Juice, tea and lemon were available, though. There was only one pillow per person and no tea or coffee in the rooms. The breakfast and restaurant servers could use customer service training to match the 4 Star rating.

The room price is very good, and they even packed breakfast for us when we left. Their coffee is the best in the city, and the pasta I had was better than Italy's. The food is excellent and a great price. Esplanada Hotel is one of the best places to stay in Tulcea, right by the Danube and close to the Danube Delta. There's a waterfront area out front that's still being renovated, where lots of local people come to relax. They also offer Danube Delta visits at a good price. Go see Tulcea city!

I had a relaxed, pleasant stay here and would choose this hotel again if I return to the Danube Delta. The staff were friendly and did their best to meet guests' needs. It's clean, tidy and practical, with large rooms and the usual conveniences like a TV, radio, telephone and an unstocked bar fridge. It's a fairly new hotel in Tulcea, Romania, on the Danube waterfront, the gateway to the vast, beautiful Danube Delta.

The room was comfortable for my business trip, and I had a lovely view of the Danube. It was large and worth the price, though a little expensive for Romania. Breakfast was really poor and not good, and the staff weren't very friendly or welcoming. They should work on how they treat clients.

Right opposite the NAVROM terminal, and near restaurants and cafes, this is an excellent hotel on the Danube esplanade in Tulcea.
