I booked the house for one night because it looked a little secluded and seemed like a fun place. But it turned out to be just for sleeping. Music and noise weren’t really allowed, and with the owner in the yard and at least two cameras watching, it felt like we couldn’t do much. He came over several times to warn us, even though we weren’t doing anything out of the ordinary. The sink was dirty when we arrived, despite assurances that the water was fresh. If you’re visiting Vișeu for accommodation, it may be fine, but I wouldn’t recommend it for fun or socializing. Have a peaceful stay if you come through, but fun isn’t really possible here.

We’ve been coming here for seven years, and it already feels like we’re part of the family. The people are extraordinary, the area is gorgeous, and we even came twice in one year. If it weren’t 500 km away, we’d visit every month. It’s spotless, with a beautiful yard and total peace, and it works especially well for two or three families. Last Christmas was superb: we came with two children aged 14 and 15 and a three-year-old, enjoyed traditions, and swam in the wonderful pool while it was minus 10 degrees outside. We can’t wait to return. We love the people and the place, and highly recommend it!

I came back last month for the seventh year in a row, and this is where I want to spend every vacation. At Casa Eli, the days are peaceful and full of nature, time with our warm and wonderful hosts, and such deep relaxation that time seems to stand still. My family, friends, and I feel right at home here, surrounded by comfort, harmony, good spirits, and a chance to reconnect with ourselves. The guesthouse is irreproachable in every way, and I’ll keep returning with love and longing. I recommend it with all my heart.

I was looking for quiet accommodation and privacy, but there are restrictions on using the yard, and you end up sharing the barbecue and space with the hosts. It also doesn’t accept children under four. Not good for what I wanted. I’m adding a photo that doesn’t appear anywhere in the listing.
