Design Hotel Mr President

The hotel’s central location, within walking distance of major attractions, was a plus, and breakfast was decent, though nothing special. But we had an extremely disappointing and unacceptable 5-day stay with a school group, especially for a hotel claiming to be 4 stars. The food was poor and low quality for this category. Heating failed in several rooms throughout all 5 days in winter. Even after repeated complaints to reception, students and teachers were left in cold rooms. We had to switch rooms more than once because problems seemed widespread. Rooms were dusty, and there were insects in some cases. In one room, insects appeared in the bed as soon as we lifted the blanket, which was alarming and absolutely unacceptable. There were also broken toilet flushes, and windows that either wouldn’t open because they were screwed shut or had been poorly repaired and let cold air in. The air conditioning was so noisy, like a compressor, that it was impossible to sleep. Bathrooms were badly designed and extremely uncomfortable. In some rooms the sink was so close to the toilet that sitting properly was almost impossible. With the lack of heating, poor maintenance, hygiene problems, and general neglect, this hotel isn’t suitable for school groups or organized stays. It doesn’t deserve a 4-star rating and barely reaches a 3-star level. We don’t recommend it at all.
