The staff member was kind, and that’s the only good thing I can say about this place. This was a very bad experience, and I’d suggest choosing any of the many motels, hostels, or apartments in Belgrade instead. The room’s carpet had lots of dark marks and didn’t look regularly cleaned, if it had been cleaned at all. Our curtain had a cigarette burn and a hole, the mattress was stained in many places, and there were yellow marks on the ceiling that I couldn’t explain. The air conditioning in one room didn’t work. Since it was the weekend, they said they couldn’t find anyone to repair it. It was 36 degrees outside, so sleeping was basically impossible. The Wi-Fi was very slow too. There was no fridge in the room, just one in the shared kitchen, and it smelled awful because food had been left there for who knows how long and had expired. This doesn’t feel like a four-star hotel at all. There were no amenities, just cheap shampoo, with no soap, slippers, or shower gel. There was no fan in the room either, so you had to ask for one.

The bed was super comfortable, and the sheets felt like good hotel quality. The bathroom was clean, there was a TV with cable and English language channels, and I got a good last-minute price. The female receptionist was very friendly, and the property replied to my Booking.com messages quickly, which I appreciated. I also liked the Vracar neighborhood. It feels more local and less touristy, and more refined than the inner city. I’d give the apartment a solid four stars, though there’s room to improve. My King Balcony Room was on the first floor, facing a busy street with traffic at all hours. I could hear it even with the window closed, so earplugs are needed for a good night’s sleep. I really dislike carpet because it’s hard to tell whether it’s properly clean. Floorboards or concrete would be much nicer. There was air conditioning, but no remote in the room. When I asked reception, they said it was cool enough outside and I could just open the window. I was working in the room and explained that the traffic made that too noisy, so they reluctantly gave me the remote. Guests should be able to choose whether to use the window or air conditioning, especially since Belgrade’s outside air is super polluted. I also had to request a hairdryer because there wasn’t one in the room, which seemed strange. I could leave my luggage after checkout, but there’s no dedicated secure storage room.

The rooms and bathrooms are huge and very clean, and the neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. The staff are very nice, and the shared kitchen is always clean and well equipped. The hotel is right in the heart of the city, with all the main attractions nearby, plus McDonald’s and two grocery stores. For a tourist, I think it has everything you need. 100% recommend!
