Avoid booking here. We booked a private room for four at Crib hostel, then got a message one day before the trip telling us to go to this hostel instead. They said it had the same owner and price, but gave us no other details or photos. Our luggage didn’t feel safe: people were coming and going through our room because they had no key to their own room, and the hostel manager hadn’t warned us. The room itself was dusty, dirty, and full of broken things. We’d booked a non-smoking room, but the receptionist smoked heavily just on the other side of the door, and the smell came straight in. The receptionist was rude when we asked for sheets for a bed that had none, insisting it couldn’t be missing any and that we’d only just arrived. At night he talked loudly on speakerphone with a friend and left the TV blaring. We paid because it was the last day and couldn’t find another place, but he still wouldn’t give us a receipt when we asked. It felt like our money was being stolen. Thank God Belgrade is a beautiful country, and we could spend most of the day away from that hostel.
