The shared spaces were the reason for our two-star rating. They were very dirty, especially the kitchen, and we got the impression they weren’t cleaned during our stay. Our double room was nice and clean, with a comfortable bed and a balcony overlooking the street. The hostel is also in a great spot near shops, restaurants and the park where the Fortress is. The staff member who greeted us was kind and friendly. We’d been promised free parking over the phone, but in the end we had to pay for a parking lot.

Despite the great location, this was one of my worst stays. The place needs cleaning and maintenance, and the rooms smelled of cigarettes. The non-smoking area seems to be just a label that people don’t respect. Staff weren’t very helpful or caring, and the stay was uncomfortable.

It’s a really cute place, but I have to say it wasn’t clean.
