Hotel Srebrna Lisica

The location was perfect, and we’d definitely recommend it. Our family of four had a good-sized room, and there was plenty of delicious food with a different selection every day. The lobby is outdated and could use a makeover, but it didn’t bother us much.

The bartender at the café was rude and refused to pour water for anyone who asked, saying he’d then have to pour it for everyone. Service was terrible overall. I stayed seven days, and they didn’t change my towels once.

The apartment was clean, towels were changed daily, and there was always hot water. The tap water was drinkable and really nice. But the food was monotonous and repetitive, and often tasted quite neutral, without spice. If you wanted something spicy, like raw onion in a salad or garlic with a meal, there was no way to add it. The room had very poor sound insulation. Our bedroom bordered the living room next door, and we could hear the neighbors talking at 11 PM while we were trying to sleep. Kids also ran and screamed in the hallways at 9 PM and 10 PM for days. I’m not sure whether their parents were to blame, but I’m sure the hotel management didn’t address it. The parking lot may hold at most 15 cars, and you have to leave your car key at reception. The bar shuts at 10 PM, so there’s nowhere to spend time with friends there later. You can’t take food or drinks out of the restaurant, so as a smoker I couldn’t take my coffee outside for a cigarette. But bringing in a beer, which costs extra, is allowed. Double standards, and I’m not impressed. If the price hadn’t been so high, I might have rated this higher.
